Do not think me slow or stupid, or if you must, think me only foolish. For what is love but the dream of a fool? What else can be said of these things I’ve said to you? They are but dreams surely, but can I not dream? Can I not hope for such endless wonders the likes of which only you can give? Can I not reach for stars that are far beyond my reach? For even if I should fall from lofty heights, even if I should be burned by the hand so sought, I would rather strive for the impossible, and die a frightful death, then live forever with the thought that you could have been mine, however remote that chance might have been…

well, you already heard my opinion, but I'll say it again on here:

Oh, I wrote these for school....I figured I'd post them here, just for fun. I don't know if they're done yet or not, but w/e.
A flash of white and pink swims by, Hides among the leaves. In the house of glass Sailing on the coffee table. Feet up on tabletop A shadow lump Warms the legs, Purring a background rumble. Feel of plastic in my hands Wired, Attention to the screen. The chant of hymns pervades the air Gunshots, screams, war. The story captures all my heart I'd rather not go to bed But continue reading such a book I need to know how it ends. My furry and soft companion Seems to agree with me. She stretches out on my lap Only moving hours later.
This first one was a lyric version of a piece I wrote back in September. I thought I did an okay job turning it into poem-version.

Here's the second one:
Flying on my two wheels, The wooden bridge hidden in the trees Down the path to water's edge A seat on rock and moss; The water cool and crisp and clean And soothing like a lullaby.
Legs are burning from the ride Body shaking, more than fatigue A seat amidst the calming creek Eating candies to stay alive.
When shaking stops, I climb the path Remount my discarded ride. Discouraged, flying back to camp Maybe next time I'll make it past the bridge; Maybe next time my body won't fail me.
