Camping!!!!

yay, I'm going camping right after work tomorrow!!!! (Well, technically today).

It's a bit lae, but good luck and have fun! I'm expecting some interesting tales.

I don't know what kind of tales you are expecting....

Anyway, the first day I went swimming and beat my dad into the lake (First one in for the season! yay!) It was rather cold, so neither of us stayed in long. After supper we went fishing. It was rainy and kind of miserable, but we caught like 6 pickerel. I helped my dad clean them amidst the bugs, then we zipped back to the landing and packed up amidst more bugs.

The second day looked like it was going to rain. We decided not to go swimming, so my mom and I biked down the road a ways. We ended up going like 10 kn in total and it felt like maybe 2. It was awesome! After supper we went fishing again - we caught 6 more fish, which would have been limits except we'd eaten a few for lunch. The bugs were bad when we launched the boat, but there were like none while we cleaned the fish and packed up (which is very unusual for there).

Oh yeah, we played team crib with my uncle and mom on one team, my dad and I on the other. The first night we played, we played two games, which my team lost. (My dad also made some comments about skunking them, but we ended up losing). The second night, my dad and I won two games, so we decided to play a tie breaker. Well, low and behold, my mom's team skunked us!!! lol, my dad didn't hear the end of it until a few days after we got home!

So the last day was uneventful. We wandered back down to the beach for a swim. It was really cold when you went in, but you got used to it quickly. After supper, we packed up and went home.

All in all, a fun and relaxing trip.

I am once again going camping this weekend. I will be leaving tomorrow, and back sometime Monday.

YEESH! Seems like everyone I know is going camping, or fishing. Well, enjoy the trip!

Ok.

So I got there on Saturday. After supper, my uncle, dad, mom and I all went fishing and we caught our limits!!!!!! (16 pickerel!!!!) We cleaned them and were off the lake by the time we're usually just finishing fishing!

The next day, my mom and I biked to the lake where we fished. It took about an hour (about 13km there and back), but was a really nice ride (it didn't feel like we'd been biking for an hour). Then we went swimming. After supper, my parents and I went to Quetico for a swim. My dad and I swam to the rock. When we got back to camp, we played crib with my uncle.

The last day, my mom and uncle went blueberry picking. My dad and I went down to Fork lake (which is the lake we swim at) to try a bit of fishing. We caught some bass (just catch and release) then went for a swim. (Well, I did more swimming than my dad due to catching far too many snags).

All in all, a very fun camping trip!
