This shall be a place for when you just want to share some cool character ideas or have thought of an excellent background for someone and want to share it. Got an idea, post it here, need an idea, feel free.
I'll start
Name: Ahmose (Adam)
Clan: Gangrel
Language: Sumer, English
Date Of Birth: approx July 15/2500 B.C.
Apparent Age: 36
Nationality: Egyptian
Born to a very small farming community with no real knowledge of any others. The community itself was originally from Egypt. From an early age, Ahmose developed a strong bond with the wildlife and soon attracted the attention of other parties. Much to the pleasure of his parents, Ahmose was taken in as an apprentice by a local druid, Senbi, at the age of 6. He learned to read and write, the importance of various plants and the habits of the animals to an amazing degree. While not capable of using true magik as his mentor was able, Ahmose quickly learned to communicate with wild animals, developing an affinity for bats. By the age of 36, Ahmose received the blessing of his mentor and was encouraged to find himself an apprentice. Unfortunately, another had also developed an interest in him.
Peleset had desired to Embrace Ahmose many years before, but knew she was no mach for the druid. For 19 years she developed her skills in combat while Ahmose developed his in academics and mythology. That night, she struck. Managing to kill the druid in his sleep, and subdue Ahmose long enough to embrace him and let him free to feed. Ahmose never really understood what happened to him. Left alone for the first 3 years after his embrace, he developed into a wild thing. Living by instinct, as that was the only way he knew how to satisfy the Beast within him.
Peleset eventually did reveal herself to Ahmose, and after a long time of developing a sense of trust, started to teach him the ways of the Gangrel. Ahmose had, not so surprisingly, developed the basics of Animalism on his own, but when told the he could become a bat with the more advanced uses of protean, he leaped at the chance. Literally. Thus for 20 odd years, Ahmose wasn’t too sure, he never really bothered to keep track, they hunted together and she taught him what he desired. Their simple existence was abruptly shattered when a roaming pack of Lupines slaughtered Peleset. To escape, Ahmose melded with the earth, and unsure of what to do, entered torpor voluntarily.
Unfortunately for Ahmose, the valley that he hid in, filled in. Fortunately, a city was built overtop of his resting place. As the city developed, the local Nosferatu developed their underground havens. It was during an expansion development that a few of the ghouls came across a section earth that, although appearing to be simply dirt, would not move. Perplexed, several Nosferatu attempted to discern the nature of this problem. One of them realized it for what it was, a vampire interred into the earth, but was perplexed as to how one could get so deep. (almost half a mile down) Shrugging they attempted to dig around. Ahmose probably should have slept right through the whole encounter, but he woke. When the earth beside the workers suddenly became a person, the ghouls freaked. The Nosferatu however, weren’t stupid. An obfuscated member was waiting in the tunnel for just such an occasion, and signalled to the others.
Ahmose awoke and expected to see the sky above. Instead he was in a tunnel. Surrounded by strangely dressed people screaming in some strange language with fire contained in little clear balls. This of course, freaked him out. His first instinct was to call some allies. And oh the rats that came. The strange people ran, but he stayed in his corner, surrounded by his vermin friends, contemplating what the hell is happening.
The ghouls ran by and the strange individual sat in the corner, obviously unnerved, surrounded by rats. Feeling brave, Stan revealed himself and asked who he was, causing a start from the individual and a stream of gibberish. And he thought this was going to be a boring evening. It better not become lethal however.
Just as he was about to get himself together, some freaky ass guy appears in front of him, and makes some strange sounds. This, of coursed, caused Ahmose to ask questions, such as who the guy was, where is he and what he is. None of this seemed to be getting through to the thing, so he started talking to himself, trying to organize his thoughts. Not much was coming to mind, when more freaks should up. Great. Just great. It was quite a shock when one of them actually said some thing in an understandable language.
Well, this isnt getting anywhere. where are those other guys? I got some freaky ass psycho sprouting gibberish surrounded by MY rats. Sigh, and I was complaining about being bored. Ah good, the others are here. Finally, the elder is here, the repository of knowledge or something. Oh, he can talk to him. Well, no weight on my shoulders, ill just move out of the way.
Ahmose was incredibly lucky that this particular Nosferatu was visiting, for he was the only one who actually managed to speak his language. Life generally went uphill from there. Will, who was a historian by practice, was incredibly interested in Ahmose's life before he went into torpor. In exchange for the many stories that his druidic mentor had imparted in him and his knowledge of several lost written languages Will taught Ahmose English, suggested a more appeasing name, Adam, among other things.
Ahmose, now Adam, travelled with Will for a while around to different places. they exchanged stories, Will improved Adams understanding of Animalism and Adam helped Will refine his Protean. They eventually ended up in Seattle, when Will was paged about some business to deal with that, regrettably, he could not bring Adam along on, but said he would catch up to him, although it may take a few decades.
Adam has since spent his time finding his haven and developing a relationship with the local vermin population. He is considering finding some other kindred, but is unsure of where to start. He investigated the recent disturbance of the warehouse, but didn’t receive really any ideas.
