I am and I'm not. If they cut stuff like Tom badodil(not sure on the spelling anymore), and Shelob, I'm going to be let down. But then again they have done pretty good considering on the length of it. I mean each of the 3 books breaks further down into 2 books originally so the dry level does get very high. But it is the last part so I'll be happy enough for an end to finally be put out and see.

You are Correct She WILL be in return of the king!! and yes they did cut out some pretty kick ass parts and added some that shouldn't have been there... but you gotta remember that a novel will very rarely translate perfectly to screen, especially one as large as Lord of the Rings. Peter Jackson has done his best to maintain the atmosphere that Tolkien created while adding his own flavour to the film.

i think he did a really good job.
the one thing I didn't like though was that Faramir is a real jerk in the movies.....I though he was pretty cool in the books.

but they didn't want Boromir to look like a total jerk. they wanted all of mankind to look imperfect, and they had to show the temptation the ring possesses.

I do concur, but I just think that in the movie they tried not to portray him as one.

And what they succeeded in doing was making him take TOO DARN LONG TO DIE!

This was the best movie I have ever seen and I'm not just saying that because its LOTR, which is on of the greatest storys ever told, this movie had everything. With Frodo drawing closer and closer to Mt. Doom and the armys of Sauron baring down on the western world you can only sit back and enjoy every miniute of this epic tale. Tolkien would be proud of Peter Jackson for the astonishing work he did with this movie. I really didn't think that mr. Jackson could do the books justice in this last movie but he captured the grandure of it all with this final installment. I truly feel this is the greatest movie I have ever seen and I can die happy knowing that this movie was so freakin awsome. one word to discribe the movie: WOW!

The movie was great, very epic. Easily beats The Two Towers, and the Fellowship of the Ring. However, my gripe with the movie was the end. Good lord, that was blotched. I mean... c'mon, 7 fade to black transitions? That part seemed so rushed, like there was NO effort at all put into it. I was so disappointed! I expected better from Peter Jackson, I really did. I mean that kinda bad filmography is something I come to expect from George Lucas.

I must agree with GL on this. The Movie was great, even awesome in some parts, but the never-ending ending feeling was too much. I expected the flow of the epilogues to be smoother transitions. Nope. Nothing doing. If 4 years pass, than take a moment and flash that across the screen for the audience to know that there's more.
That plus the friggin' elf doing his crazy moves again with no crazy dwarf smashing action done at all. How many of you remember Gimli was taking on hordes on his own while Legolas was barely surviving? I remeber this, Gimli=Killing Machine of Doom Legolas+Aragon=kill almost as much as Gimli but still come up short.
I still like the movie though but I've some peeves with it. The battle turning tides a bunch of times was great, the spider nest was done well. And the Sam Pippin, Goblin Slayer, was even ok. Midget in any other movie could not do action scenes like that.
I've said my piece.
