I honestly have no idea what the friggin' difference is between all the different divisions of rock... but in general, my favorite rock band is Alien Ant Farm! ;D

personally, I agree with Nickelback being good, but I don't agree with 3 Doors Down (I'm sure shauna's gonna love this one).

Queens of the Stone Age good. Very good. Nickleback, NOT HARD ROCK!!!! Neither is 3 doors down, or theory of a dead man. AC/DC is my fav hard rock band. Hard rock gets close to metal. Not the cheesy little oh look at me i can finally get someone to notice me whinning about my broken up relationship with my ex. Speaking of which, Linkin Park I also think is a great hard rock band.  |

I guess that Nickelback and Theory are more...just rock. But, I still don't know what QOTSA are. Oh well. SOAD is another good hard-rock.

I know they disbanded but I have to say: The Smashing Pumpkins. Followed by Metallica (who apparently are no longer metal. who knew.)
