ok, I just finished the Amber Spyglass. It was a lot better than the Subtle Knife, but not nearly as good as the Golden Compass. I don't know what decided me on finishing it - I hadn't even looked at the book for a few weeks, but I saw it today as I was cleaning my room, and figured, "What the heck?" So I just finished it like a half hour ago.

I reread Hamlet on Friday....and I must say it was a lot better this time than when I last read it like 5 yrs ago....I don't know if it was just from already knowing the story, or just having a better vocabulary than back then, but I understood a lot more of the jokes and whatnot without having to refer to the notes too much. And I really did enjoy it.

I only go on this one and another one on any regular basis. I also have two I swing by every once in awhile, but I rarely post anything on them.

Well this is the only forum I actually post anything on. You should feel special. Like me. Except in a good way.

I read The Fairy Path by Frewin Jones today. It was pretty good (I picked it up from the library a few weeks ago). It was a really easy read.

well, it has been awhile since I posted in here....I'm not going to recollect all the stuff I read since last I posted, but my last exam was this afternoon....since then, I read the novel Starcraft: Queen of Blades by Aaron Rosenberg. It was great!

ok, I finished the entire Starcraft Archive; it's 4 books: Liberty's Crusade, Shadow of the Xel Naga, Speed of Darkness and Uprising. I read Liberty's Crusade awhile back - it was awesome! Shadow of the Xel Naga (which was the one I was looking forward to for some reason) absolutely sucked! It was really badly written, and they slapped you over the head with all the Starcraft stuff ("we needed to go fill up our Arclite Siege Tank with Vespene Gas" type of thing). It totally didn't flow AT ALL. And the story was pretty dumb. I'm of the opinion the author's have never played through Brood War (although they got points for hating Duke and making his life miserable, even if the story couldn't possibly have happened in the time frame). The other two were far better written. Speed of Darkness had an ok story. It was kind of strange, but it made sense. Uprising was really good. I think it's more of a novella than a novel. It gave background to some of the key characters in the Starcraft story, was well-written, and totally kept me turning the pages right to the end!

I read Death of a Darklord by Laurell K. Hamilton. It's a Ravenloft. A sufficient number of people (aka everyone, especially the darklord) were sad by the end of the book. I think I was more impressed, having read some of Hamilton's other work (the first few books of the Merry Gentry series) that there was no sex in the book whatsoever. She's a good author, and this was a really good read (again, no sex!)

I read Terry Pratchett's the colour of Magic for the second time. It was a lot better than I remember it. It was kind of neat re-reading it - I couldn't remember how the story went, but I remembered events as I read them.

Light Fantastic....it was ok. The end was good, but the rest felt like a big waste of time

Out of the ones I've read I think 'Guards! Guards!' and 'The Fifth Elephant' are my two, 'Equal Rites' was pretty good too IIRC. Don't really remember the first books to be honest.
