I don't blame you I read Christopher Pike's The Cold One. It was alright, but didn't make me want to run out to find the sequal. I started a Star Wars novel Rogue Planet, but I don't think I'll be finishing it right now (I'm still a bit undecided on whether I want to or not - I don't care about Anakin or Obi-Wan, but General (?) Tarkin is in it and already scheming.....)

What?!?! But Anakin is such a SUPER DUPER cool character of awesomeness!!! It sucks so much that he became that lame ass Darth Vader. girl thingy.

I just read Wicked Lovely by Melissa Marr.....I picked it up randomly from work and started reading it....I really liked it, but I think it could have had a better ending.
Yes, I guess it's obvious that I a) ignored Bryan's last post in this thread, and b) decided NOT to read Rogue Planet. I had decided to read it....that was a week or two ago....and I haven't picked up the book. Then I picked up a random book from the library and read it in one night....so I figure it is time to move on from Rogue Planet.

Juat got home from party, im full of food and more food. And I wanted to post. I read Death of a Darklord...it is true...everyone is sad at the end...everyone...It was a great read though, and a nice change from the usual endings.

Most of what I read I will be posting on this blog. But there were a few things (like the Graphic novel Trinity) that I read and haven't posted there because they are library books, not mine.

Well, I just finished reading Stardust by Gaiman and Jingo by Pratchett. I really liked Jingo, very funny and rather liked the ending. Chronologically it was set between a couple of other books I read so I was able to discover the origins of a couple running gags. Stardust. . .damn, I'm amazed at how different the book was from the movie. The ending is definitely Neil's style though. So very sad. Never would have worked for Hollywood though I tried reading Catch-22. I really did. I managed to get almost 70 pages in, bout 40 there and 30 on the way back and the book just doesn't hold me. There doesn't even seem to be a plot, at least not one that I cared enough about to notice.

I thought Stardust was incredibly well written. I should reread it . . . one day . . .
oh, I guess I should say that I read Mercedes Lackey's "The Snow Queen" last night. I loved it! It was a pretty story.....makes me want to reread the actual fairy tale to see what she used.

I just wanted to say I finished the Da Vinci Code and it is worth reading. It was a good book once you get past the choppy beginning

maybe for some people. also, I read Austin Clarke's The Meeting Point. It was alright. Not the best book, not the worst book. I'm not sure what I'm going to read next....I was planning on starting Valley of the Dolls for popular fiction, but I might have some time to sneak in something for fun.....I'll decide tomorrow.

I started reading it once, but for some reason I got distracted and haven't picked it up since then....oh yeah, that was when Mel and I were building Exalted characters, and I discovered the story is a bit longer than I thought it was....
