I am thinking of running a little campaign in Middle-earth, would anyone be interested? I will be running it likely long before the events of the LOTR. Let me know if your interested, and then we can work on creating chars. Schedules change for many so we can pick the night to play each session as they come rather than set a date time. I need at least 2 people for this, then I will run it.
I will have very little rules for char creation, but there will be a few. No Noldor, because they are rare and I feel too strong for PC's, and NO WIZARDS.

If I can read the rules system before hand I'll give it a go. My knowledge of middle earth is limited to vague memories from the movies/books though.

Do you really need to know the rules before trying it out?

I despise rules, and focus more on storytelling. Rules have thier place but I wont spend more than 5 minutes EVER looking it up. If it seems reasonable, go for it. As for middle-earth knowledge, you can play a simple bree peasant...or a hobbit...they know NOTHING

Can't really specify anything in particular. I just like to know as much of the rules as I can so I know what I can and can't do. Don't like playing games where I don't know the rules

usually your character sheet tells you what you can and can't do

That be one hell of a character sheet though. Bah, that 6 page Vampire sheet I had didn't include half the things I could use.

Be realistic, as long as you think its within reason (and I agree) then Ill allow it. don't let rules bog you down. That being said...no fireballs will be thrown....

Edit...and you will get to see the rules when you create a character, its not what you CAN do its what your character WOULD do

We should really send the library a 'Thank You' card for all the free character sheets they've given us. . . . After you no longer work there
