North York child feared taken from her bed overnight

Toronto police are treating the disappearance of a 9-year-old girl in North York today as an abduction and have called in the Sex Crimes Unit.

They issued a province-wide amber alert this afternoon for Dong-Yue (Cecilia) Zhang, of 33 Whitehorn Cres.

Police released a photograph of the missing girl and expressed concern for her safety during news conferences held near her home in the Finch Ave. and Highway 404 area.
