A Merry Christmas?

Ok, so this was written last night:

It is currently 10:25 pm, Calgary time, on Monday, December 18, 2007

This is of course the best way to start Christmas. Well, not start it because it¡¦s already a few days in, but whatever.

My flight leaving from Toronto was delayed for reasons that I cannot remember. Alright, no problem. Unfortunately my plane required a connecting flight, meaning I had to disembark and find another plan. And apparently that plan had already left.

So I now find myself seated at a room in a Delta hotel (connected to the airport) without the interent. The room is paid for, as well as having a twenty dollar voucher good for anywhere in the building. You know what that means, I figure? Yup, I¡¦m off to the bar! Then a shower and bed.

Alright, here's a better explaination of what happened.


So, I get to the airport and stand in line. I look up at the schedule, and apparently the plane was delayed an hour. No problem, I can wait.

Next, I get to the check-in and they can't find my reservation. Turned out the person at the desk was new and didn't know the flight had a stop over so didn't check the right flight. Again, not a problem another person came by and found it.

I land in Calgary and get off the plane. There was some message about my next flight, but I missed what it said. So I go to the gate and apparently, due to the delay, my next flight already left. So I'm stuck in Calgary.

While not a MAJOR problem, it means I have to stay the night. Westjet ended up paying for acomodations at the Delta Hotel (attached to the airport) and some food. So I head over, check-in for the night, then head to the lounge for a beer. I take a shower, then head to bed.

7am the next morning I'm up for 9am flight to EDMONTON. Takes about an hour. THen there's a two hour wait for an hour ride to Kelowna.

And so now I'm here.
